The first Montezuma’s restaurant opened at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland in 1978 and enjoyed great success from the very start! In 1991, following the success of Montezuma’s Burleigh Heads, it became clear the best way to share the Montezuma’s experience across the country and around the world was to start a franchise company and Montezuma’s Mesa Australia Pty Ltd was founded.
