Although we cater to families, our lively and relaxed atmosphere especially attracts young people who make up by far the majority of our clientele.
Our Restaurants offer a menu of authentic Mexican dishes sufficiently varied to cater to a range of tastes, from those with more traditional dining preferences to those who prefer their Mexican food authentically hot and spicy. In accordance with our own high standards, we prepare our meals with the
freshest, most wholesome ingredients where possible, and go to great lengths (to Mexico, in fact) to provide the most authentic spices and ingredients we can find.
Our most important goal is to ensure that each of our customers have a satisfying, enjoyable dining experience, and that the quality of that experience remains consistent regardless of which particular Montezuma’s Mesa Restaurant they may patronise.
Since 1978...
The
first Montezuma’s Mesa Restaurant opened at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast in 1978 and enjoyed great success, relying upon word-of-mouth advertising from satisfied customers and its ability to fill a niche in the Restaurant market - Mexican dining - so well that other advertising methods have been unnecessary.
Starting the franchise
In 1991, the owners of the Burleigh Heads Restaurant were sufficiently motivated by the success of Montezuma’s to begin a franchise company, Montezuma’s Mesa Australia Pty. Ltd. Since then, 22 new Restaurants have been opened, seven in Brisbane (Queensland), three on the Sunshine Coast (Queensland), three on the Gold Coast (Queensland), four in regional Queensland in Bundaberg, Cairns, Mackay & Toowoomba, one in Sydney (New South Wales), one in Melbourne (Victoria) and three in Adelaide (South Australia).
We believe that success depends on consistency of product and service from Restaurant to Restaurant so that the name ‘‘Montezuma’s’’ is always a guarantee of excellence in food, atmosphere and service.
